a biology science lecturer at the Public School at Havard University,
describes anion as "vitamin in the air"
Renald Effect:
When water in the air changes its surface area, such as when a drop
of water is divided into smaller water droplets will acquire a positive
charge, and cause the surrounding air to be negative-charged to
produce ions. The phenomenon is called the Renald Effect or the
"waterfall" effect. Waterfall surroundings generally have
soothing effect, relieves stress and is good for one's health because
of the high quantity of anion in the air. Cation can cause headache,
discomfort and increase blood pressure, whereas

anion decrease
blood pressure, Perhaps, an experiment may show that if a patient
with high blood pressure inhales anion, his blood pressure will
decrease and so will his pulse rate.
Factors which
cause reduction of anion :
- More people,
less anion (one of the reasons why a person would feel very uneasy
in an over-crowded place is the lack of anion)
- Combination
of bigger particles (e,g.: dust, steam etc)
- Attraction
of cation from outdoors (e.g.: by use of refrigerators, radios,
washing machine, and other electrical appliances)
- Anion sticks
to mist, dust, smoke, etc.
